Congregation Beth HaTephila is a modern Reform congregation with a rich history in the Asheville community. Founded in 1891 and affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism since 1908, our congregation is dedicated to nurturing Jewish identity among its members as individuals and as a community.

We moved to our present location and have added religious school facilities and remodeled and refurbished the sanctuary. An active strategic planning committee is committed to strengthening and fostering our future needs.

Congregation Beth HaTephila is proud of our spiritual leader, Rabbi Batsheva Meiri. She brings 15 years rabbinical experience to our community and is passionate about helping members and potential members discover ways to connect spiritually with each other and with God through inspirational worship, stimulating learning and tikkun olam.
